The box set "Guitar Heroes: The Decca Years 1965–1967" gathers material from the period when John Mayall's The Bluesbreakers served as an incubator for an entire generation of legendary guitarists. Through four landmark albums – from the raw, live-infused energy on 'Live at Klooks Kleek' to the groundbreaking 'Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton' – the box documents the birth of British blues rock.
With Eric Clapton (Cream), Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) and Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones) at the forefront, the recordings show the beginning of careers that later went on to shape some of rock history's most significant bands.
The box also includes a new, extended essay on the guitarists' development and influence, as well as an illustrated family tree that charts their path forward to Cream, Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones.
